She has worked in the international arena since 1978, when she joined the Organization of American States. In 1980, she completed her Masters in International Affairs and Economic Development in American University, Washington, D.C, with honors, and then attended the London Schools of Economics, in London. She has been actively been working in the Hispanic Community upon her arrival in Miami (1990), and has been Listed among the Who’s Who of Hispanic and American Women since 1993 for her community efforts. She is a Licensed Insurance broker register in the State of Florida since 1993 and is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian and French.

She created GIA (Global International Assurance), with the solely purpose of assisting her international clientele with a service that would enhance their levels of protection, education on insurance matters and peace of mind, while travelling or living out of their country of origin.
